Alison was CEO of the largest Housing Association in NE England until her retirement in 2016. An experienced NED, she is Vice Chairman of a regional Building Society, Director of a Trust Port and a University Governor. She is committed to the highest standards of ethical and corporate governance.
Sir Michael became Chair of Sage Partnerships in September 2018. A leading figure in housing and local government, he chaired the well-regarded Lyons Housing Commission in 2014 to advise on how future governments might bring about a sustainable increase in house building in England.
He is also Chairman of the English Cities Fund, which undertakes large scale urban regeneration schemes. Prior to this, following a long and distinguished career in local government, Sir Michael completed a four-year term as Chairman of the BBC and has held a range of non-executive positions across the three sectors.
Angela joined the Sage Board as an independent non-executive director in March 2018. She is a corporate and financial services lawyer and is currently a member of the Financial Services Consumer Panel. She has over 18 years’ experience working in private practice and as in-house counsel to global financial services firms. Angela is a regular speaker on policy development and other issues impacting the financial services industry.
John Brace joined the Sage Board as an independent non-executive director in April 2018. He is a Chartered Accountant and former Finance Director with 25 years’ experience in the social housing sector, most recently as Chair of the Board for Cottsway Housing Association. John has considerable strategic leadership experience in both executive and non-executive roles and extensive specialist knowledge in Finance, Treasury, Risk Management, Governance and Regulation.
Joe has over 30 years’ experience in development and housing in both the private and public sectors. He aims to utilise this to make Sage Housing a leader in the provision of modern affordable homes.
Michael has over fifteen years’ experience as CFO in businesses investing and providing services to the real estate sector in the US and UK. As CFO at Invitation Homes he helped build the largest owner and manager of single family homes in the USA, with over 80,000 homes.
Hannah has worked in the social housing sector for 18 years, across housing associations and councils, in landlord services, homelessness and business improvement. A member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), she is passionate about providing good quality, stable housing for people who need it.
